The story centers on Katie Cannon, the young daughter of a journalist, who disappears without a trace in the desert. Eight years later, the shattered family is stunned when she is found alive—but she was discovered sealed inside a 3,000-year-old sarcophagus, wrapped in leather bandages and mysteriously unaged. What begins as a joyful reunion quickly spirals into a nightmare as it becomes clear she has been possessed by an ancient, terrifying spirit.
