The film chronicles the early life and spiritual transformation of a young boy named Lakshmi Narayan in pre-Independence India. Grieving the tragic death of his mother, the young boy embarks on a profound spiritual journey across North India in search of God and answers to human suffering. His intense devotion and quest eventually lead him to become the revered saint Neem Karoli Baba (also affectionately known as Maharaj Ji), who serves humanity through silent blessings and miracles of love and food.
