Mugalan tells the story of Nepali youths who leave their homeland in search of work and a better future abroad. The film/plot follows their emotional struggle as they face hardship, exploitation, loneliness, and the harsh realities of foreign labor. At the same time, it shows the deep connection they maintain with their families back home, revealing the sacrifices, dreams, and resilience of migrant workers.
